What to Pack in Your Dance Bag

Suggested Dance Bag Contents for Dancers (ages 10+):


• All required dance shoes (please label - no matter how old you are!)

• Appropriate dance attire (tights, leotard, shorts, leggings etc.)

• Warm up clothing (sweatpants, sweater)

• Reusable water bottle

• Body deodorant 

• Hair supplies: elastics, bun pins, bobby pins, clips, hair net, brush, comb, etc.

• Safety pins (various sizes)

• Clear nail polish (for runs in tights and fraying ribbons)

• Sewing supplies: scissors, needle and thread

• Pointe supplies (ages 12+): toe tape, toe spacers, ouch pouches, lamb’s wool, second skin, etc.

• Notebook and pen

• Small First Aid Kit: Band-Aids, hand sanitizer, instant ice pack, alcohol wipes etc.

• Personal sanitary products

 NLSD Class Dress Codes   

Proper attire and hygiene is an essential part of dance training, and helps both the dancer and their peers feel comfortable and prepared for classes and performances. The required dance attire and recommended colours help our instructors by allowing them to better see: how each individual moves, body line and contour, muscle movement, etc.

NLSD Enrolment Status With Respect to Prompt Payment 


Dancers will not be considered enrolled into their class(es)/program until payment is made - payment is due upon receipt of invoice.  Anytime someone enrolls into a class or program with NLSD, our administration is notified immediately and will email your invoice - to the email address you have used to set up your NLSD Jackrabbit portal account - as soon as possible. Once you have made your payment, please allow for up to 5 business days to receive your receipt/statement from us via email through the Jackrabbit portal system (please regularly check your junk/spam folders for Jackrabbit emails sent by us!).  It may also take up to 5 business days for your payment to be reflected under your portal account transactions - if more than a week has passed and your payment still has not been reflected on your account, please contact us!
