Christina Buckle
Christina Buckle has 20 years of experience working with pre-professional and professional dancers and choreographers across Canada and Europe. Accepted by The Alberta Ballet School's Professional Division, she trained with instructors Murray and Nancy Kilgour, enjoying pas de deux, company repertoire, and classical ballet performances.
Following high school graduation, Christina joined The School of Toronto Dance Theatre Professional Training Program. Here she obtained her Pedagogy studying contemporary dance techniques: bouffon, contact improvisation, contemporary barre, Graham, Horton, and improvisation.
Christina auditioned for and successfully completed her BDa within two years, at Codarts University for the Arts, in the Netherlands. Here she was able to further her education in anatomy, ballet, Cunningham, Dance History, drama, gyrokinesis, improvisation, Laban Movement Analysis, modern, modern jazz and music.
In 2010, Christina was accepted into the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, UK, where she completed her MSc in Dance Science. She greatly strengthened her knowledge in enhancement, physiology, nutrition, biomechanics, performance psychology, embodied and perceptual learning; before completing her research thesis. Along with her studies, Christina has assisted and volunteered with staged theatre productions as well as taught dance classes, and choreographed new works!
