Northern Lights School of Dance (NLSD) is the premier northern dance institution, sharing our love for the arts by providing quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to people of all ages and abilities. Our diverse dance program includes training in ballet, modern, creative movement, jazz, tap, hip hop and street dance and allows for learning in a fun environment while fostering and developing creativity and artistic awareness.

NLSD is committed to the following objectives:

• Helping our students develop their physical, emotional, social, psychological and spiritual beings through dance;
  
• Encouraging our students to develop high personal standards of conduct and a strong work ethic;
  
• Providing a challenging and stimulating environment in which both students and instructors can achieve their full potential; and
  
• Contributing to the development of artistic expression, the arts and the artistic community in the Yukon;

Our young dancers have been accepted into some of Canada’s most prestigious dance institutions, including the National Ballet School of Canada, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, the Alberta Ballet School, and the dance programs at both Ryerson and York Universities.
